Why Tracista exists
Producing the 2D drawings of a part that is already modelled in 3D is mechanical, repetitive work that still eats up hours of a qualified person. With a hundred parts, it eats weeks.
Tracista does that part. It does not replace the judgement of whoever signs the drawing: it takes away the work that never needed judgement.
How we work
The engine that draws is built on FreeCAD, which is free software, and we develop it against a written, tested contract. That lets us change parts inside without changing what you receive.
We treat our customers models as industrial property, because that is what they are. The separation between companies is checked on the server on every query, and it is covered by automated tests that fail if anyone breaks it.
Where the name comes from
In the 16th century the tracista was the master who drew a building before it was built: his drawing produced the templates, and the templates produced every stone. It is the same trade, five hundred years later and in minutes.
